11. Village Council Action Items:
a. Move into closed-session: Staff recommends a motion, support and 2/3 majority approval to move into closed session to discuss and consider purchase and development agreements involving the sale of village owned real estate.
b. Village Attorney will review the proposed purchase and develop agreement that has been negotiated with the developer to purchase the last available undeveloped parcel within Leja Park.
c. Motion, Support, Majority to return to open session
d. Staff is recommending a motion, support, and majority approval to approve the Village Manager to entered into the proposed purchase and development agreements.
12. Village Manager Report (Mallery)
a. Submitted a $50K grant request to the State of Michigan to assist the Village with improvements to zoning ordinances, RRC, and governmental plans.
b. Submitted a $11,770.00 grant to CN Railways to assist with the restoration of exterior bricks at the Historic Village Depot.
c. SeniorBURG Days (Over 55) is scheduled for Thursday, September 5, 2024 11:45 – 2:15 PM at the Historic Village Pavilion
d. Update on impact of BURG Days, Downtown Date-Night, and Vicksburg.
