10. Village Council Action Items:
a. Surf Air Wireless, LLC Right-Of-Way Use Permit applications for 411 Pearl St. and 202 S. Boulevard St. Staff is recommending a motion, support and approval of these permits.
b. Resolution 02022026-01 related to the Sprinkle Road Sanitary Sewer projects scheduled to begin this Spring. This resolution is a required step, per the USDA, related to the closing of the loan ($6.9M) on the project. The load is tentatively scheduled for March 4th. Staff is recommending a motion, support, and roll call approval.
c. Full-Time Financial Staff Position: Deputy Treasurer-Deputy Clerk will report to Village Clerk and ultimately, Director of Finance. The position will have accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities. Staff is recommending a motion, support and approval.
d. DDA Business Improvement Grant Approval: Each of these 3 requests were unanimously support and recommended for approval by the Village Council
i. Vickers Lakeside Tavern: $15,000 Facade
ii. Jaspares Pizza: $7,500.00 Façade’
iii. Zoja Beauty Building: 117 S. Main: $7,500.00 Façade
e. Planning Commission-DDA Board Position Recommendation: President Frisbie is nominating Heather Thomas to fill the open position on the Planning Commission-DDA Board. Heather is a Village of Vicksburg resident and co-owner of Something’s Brewing, a business within the DDA boundaries. Staff is recommending a motion, support and approval.
f. Village Clerk to receive a $1.50 an hour raise. Hourly pay will be $31.50.
